Why This Certification Exists
Most people can demonstrate a kettlebell movement.
Far fewer can explain:
- why a position matters
- what technical errors look like
- how to correct those errors
- how to safely teach the movement
That difference is what this certification is designed to develop.
This is not just a kettlebell seminar. It is a practical coaching education built around technical standards, movement efficiency, and teaching clarity.
What Makes This Certification Different
Many kettlebell workshops focus on workouts, fatigue, or simply getting through the movements.
Agatsu focuses on standards.
Participants learn how to:
- perform fundamental kettlebell movements with precision
- identify technical errors
- correct those errors safely
- teach movements clearly to beginners and athletes
- program kettlebell training effectively
Because these are hands-on certifications, instructors provide real-time coaching and feedback throughout the weekend.
Class sizes are intentionally limited so participants receive direct correction and practical coaching experience.
What You Will Learn
- Swings, Cleans, Snatches, Turkish Get Ups, Windmills, and more
- how to break movements down so beginners can learn safely
- how to identify and correct common kettlebell mistakes
- how to integrate mobility work and bodyweight training
- how to apply both high-tension and high-volume kettlebell methods
- how to build effective programs for clients and athletes
Instructor courses are hands on. All participants are expected to train, demonstrate, and teach the fundamentals. Each weekend course is approximately 16 hours.
Who This Certification Is For
- Personal trainers and strength coaches
- Fitness professionals expanding their coaching skills
- Serious kettlebell practitioners who want deeper technical understanding
- Athletes improving strength, conditioning, and movement efficiency
Many non-trainers attend Agatsu courses for their own personal development. If you want to improve your personal knowledge and do not wish to be tested, you may still participate in the course.

If you are unable to attend an in-person course, you can register for our Online Kettlebell Instructor Certification and complete the certification from anywhere in the world.

Our Commitment
Agatsu certifications are designed to challenge and improve your understanding of kettlebell training.
Anyone who does not pass an Agatsu instructor course may, within one year, attempt the same course again free of charge.
Our goal is simple: help you develop the knowledge, mechanics, and coaching ability required to teach kettlebell training properly.

Most kettlebell courses teach one-dimensional bootcamp-style training or confuse toughness with good technique.
Walking away with bruises and torn hands is not a badge of honour. It usually means the movements are not being performed correctly.
This certification is not a toughness contest. It is an opportunity to learn, refine your skill, and raise your coaching standard.

If you're ready to train and teach kettlebells to a higher standard, register today.
