Butterfly Handstand Variation

Great practice today at the Academy of Lions in Toronto. Tomorrow starts the week long Masters of Movement Training Event and I was lucky to find a little time this morning to work on my flexibility, Kettlebell juggling and handstands. During my handstand practice I worked as always on my fundamentals along with some experiments with different shapes. The latest position I have been playing with I call the butterfly because of the hand placement. It is important to use variety in your handstand training. Experimenting with blocks and different shapes are great ways to challenge and improve your fundamentals. The butterfly position is very helpful for learning how to work with your shoulders. It forces you to work your position really engage your hands.
